Job Title: Senior Lecturer in Primary Care

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Lecturer to join our team in the School of Health and Social Work at the University of Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality academic input in relation to the planning, teaching, assessing, and evaluation of programmes of study at postgraduate level.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic input in the planning, teaching, assessing, and evaluation of programmes of study at postgraduate level.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of continuing professional development (CPD) activities.
  • Take on module leadership roles and contribute to the development of new modules.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum changes.
  • Contribute to the development of research and knowledge exchange activities.
Requirements:
  • NMC registered nurse and NMC registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse in either health visiting or school nursing.
  • Hold an honours degree in a relevant subject and a master's degree or a Level 7 qualification such as a Post Graduate Diploma.
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards this is essential.
  • Experience of teaching and supporting SCPHN students and knowledge of current NMC requirements and standards of proficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
