We are currently seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our expanding team in Southampton Ports. Your responsibilities will encompass delivering and collecting goods for our valued customers, which may involve manual handling, drop-and-swap operations, and general trunking duties.

Shift Pattern

Monday - Friday Day Tramping

Responsibilities
  • Execute safe and efficient deliveries and collections of goods to various destinations.
  • Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Adhere to Driver's Hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation.
  • Maintain accurate records of driving hours, fuel consumption, and other relevant data.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Valid HGV Class 1/C+E Licence.
  • Minimum of 6 months verifiable experience driving an HGV Class 1 vehicle.
  • No more than 6 points on your driving licence (no DD or DR codes).
  • Current valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and Tachograph Card.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
