Quantity Surveyor

Chubb Fire & Security Group is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Blackburn, working on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities:- Manage the commercial aspects of a portfolio of design and build projects of a gross value of circa £250k to £10 million.
- Administer the Main Contract(s) including assisting with Project Control information, Change Management and Cash collection.
- Administer the Subcontract Agreements holistically under the portfolio, including execution of the project subcontract strategy.
- Provide advisory service regarding various standard forms of agreement (including JCT, NEC, ICE, etc.), their administration ensuring best practices are adopted and implemented throughout the project life span including inception, delivery and close out.
- Periodic Cost Value Reconciliation(s).
- Periodic Cash Flow Forecasting and monitoring.
- Monitoring of budget against expenditure and reporting on variances.
- Valuing Change.
- Working with the Project Manager to identify early warnings within the Subcontract environment.
- Assisting in the administration of Instructions and the like.
- Assisting with preparation of accurate project control information to evaluate progress against the agreed construction programme(s).
- Management of all administration of subcontracts.
- Experience of the JCT standard suite of Contracts essential.
- Experience of the NEC 3 and 4 suites of Contracts essential.
- Extensive experience as a site Senior QS with a main contractor or similar organisation.
- Must demonstrate successful financial delivery in a challenging contracting environment.
- Ensure adherence to all Company Policies and Procedures.
- To be fully conversant and compliant with all Environmental Health and Safety procedures.
- Complete quarterly ethics module as advised by BPO.
- To fully comply with all Quality, Environmental Health and Safety directives including but not limited to PPE, Accident Reporting, Cardinal Rules, RAMS, ACE.
