About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Orthoptist to join our department based at Queen Alexandra Hospital Portsmouth. As an Orthoptist, you will play a vital role in providing expert care to our patients, working closely with our team of Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with a range of eye conditions, including strabismus, amblyopia, and other visual impairments. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, and provide education and support to patients and their families.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree or diploma in Orthoptics and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
