Job Title: Disability Support Worker Full Time/part Time

Thornbury Community Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver person-centered care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care and medication administration
  • Develop and implement structured routines and activities to promote therapeutic relationships and engagement in hobbies and activities
  • Monitor and support the psychological and emotional wellbeing of clients
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support
Requirements:
  • Minimum 12 months of UK-based paid care experience caring for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and/or mental health conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
