Job Summary:
NCG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Instructor to join our team as a Lecturer in Multiskills. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and assessing high-quality learning programs in Construction Multiskills across various levels of further education, higher education, and/or apprenticeship provision.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver and assess learning programs in Construction Multiskills, ensuring high-quality outcomes and student satisfaction.
- Undertake program leadership, tutorial, and administrative duties to support the effective delivery of learning programs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of learning programs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum and assessment strategies to meet the needs of learners and industry.
- Participate in quality assurance and enhancement activities to ensure the continuous improvement of learning programs.
Requirements:
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field and a post-16 teaching qualification.
- Have a proven track record of professional/vocational expertise in the Construction sector.
- Be qualified to teach Construction Multiskills and have experience of effective program management in FE or Apprenticeships.
- Have a strong background in Carpentry, Bricklaying, and Painting and Decorating.
- Hold English and maths qualifications at Level 2 or be willing to achieve these within an agreed timeframe.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience of successful teaching and assessment practice.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Good IT skills.
- Ability to self-manage workload and meet deadlines.
Working Arrangements:
