As a Composite Structural Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the Chief Engineer and technical experts to formulate composite design strategies and detailed schematics for aircraft components and assemblies.
  • Designing both static and dynamic structural elements.
  • Developing simulation models to evaluate airframe components and subsystems through various analytical techniques, including initial scoping calculations and advanced 2D and 3D finite element analysis (FEA) models.

To qualify for this Composite Structural Engineer position, you should possess a BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or an HNC with equivalent experience. Additionally, you will need:

  • Experience in composite analysis relevant to aerospace, automotive, or motorsport sectors.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Hypermesh, Optistruct, RADIOSS, or ANSYS.
  • A background in aerospace or automotive analysis.
