About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Computing Lecturer to join our team at a fantastic college in Gloucestershire. As a Computing Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching T Level Computing and BTEC up to level 5 Computing Studies, ensuring high-quality student learning through efficient use of College resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach T Level Computing and BTEC up to level 5 Computing Studies
  • Assess student progress and prepare progress reports
  • Maintain accurate student records
  • Manage student morale and discipline
  • Stay updated on curriculum developments
  • Collaborate with teaching teams
  • Support extracurricular activities
  • Engage in community outreach
Requirements
  • Has a degree in IT or computing studies (or any relevant subject)
  • Ideally, have experience teaching in FE or working with students in any capacity
  • Got a passing grade in Maths and English GCSE (C or grade 4)
  • Holds a recognised teaching qualification like PGSE or QTS (Not necessary – APPLICATIONS FROM INDUSTRY ARE WELCOME)
Benefits

This is a full-time permanent position, offering a salary of £37,000 - £39,000/ annum (+ other bonus worth £10k ).

The college will heavily invest in training for you, helping you to obtain a teaching qualification of this is something you do not already possess.
