Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled C# Software Engineer to join our team at Barclays, where you will play a key role in the evolution of our digital landscape. As a C# Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving software solutions that provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Software Development
  • Develop high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
  • Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements and devise solution strategies.
  • Ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
Technical Excellence
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations.
  • Contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
Security and Compliance
  • Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
  • Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
Risk Management
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work you own or contribute to.
  • Escalate breaches of policies/procedure appropriately.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in C#.NET backend development, RDMS, and knowledge of the messaging framework IBM MQ.
  • Additional relevant experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
