About the Role

Fugro is seeking a highly skilled Senior Oceanographer to join our Metocean Consultancy team in Wallingford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing metocean criteria for engineering design and marine operations for clients in the offshore, renewable energy, and coastal engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the work of a small team to deliver high-quality metocean data analysis and reporting.
  • Review and select metocean data sources to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Analyze metocean data using existing software tools or develop new analysis processes.

Requirements

  • MSc in oceanography or a related field, preferably with a PhD.
  • Extensive experience in a relevant role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Proficient in Matlab, with Python skills desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
