Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is committed to providing high-quality patient care, and we are seeking a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional care to patients with complex health needs. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will work collaboratively with our experienced team to provide 24-hour care to patients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care to patients with complex health needs, including ventilation, tracheostomy care, and bowel management.
  • Work effectively in a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • SVQ 2 or equivalent experience in a care setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • UK driving license and car ownership.
Working Hours:

Two positions available: 36 hours per week and 30 hours per week.

From 1 April 2024, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland will be reduced to 37 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings. We will implement this change as soon as it is safe to do so.
