About the Role

We are seeking a caring and compassionate individual to join our care at home teams in the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership Localities.

As a Care Assistant, you will work with service users in their own homes, providing support and care to enable them to maintain their independence.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support, working closely with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to service users in their own homes
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Support service users with their medication and healthcare needs
  • Build effective relationships with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Work collaboratively with other Council services and partner agencies to deliver care and support

Requirements

  • Caring and compassionate with good values and a genuine interest in providing quality care and support
  • Good communication skills and ability to build effective relationships
  • Ability to work with service users and their families to understand their needs and preferences
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Health and Social Care Standards and ability to put these into practice
  • Hold or be able to work towards SVQ 2 as required by Scottish Social Services Council within the time frames set at point of registration
