Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Lead Driver to join our team at Leader Online Ltd. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for leading a team of drivers and ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of drivers to ensure they meet performance targets and objectives.
  • Support the Depot Driver Team Leader in scheduling shifts and routes to optimize efficiency and meet customer demands.
  • Assist the team in unloading and loading vehicles each morning.
  • Collaborate with driver agencies to ensure cover for all areas of daily runs.
  • Coordinate with the Transport Planner to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Monitor driver performance and vehicle maintenance to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Ensure products are packed safely and securely for transportation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a FLT operator and hold a current FLT operating certificate.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the transport or logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with transportation management systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
