Job Title: Senior Building Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our team in the Midlands region. As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing a range of industry-leading infrastructure projects, working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other project stakeholders.
  • Administer contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies, ensuring accurate cost monitoring and forecasting.
  • Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely applications and effective change management.
  • Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
  • Drive improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets, ensuring best practice and governance.
  • Provide sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed, and lead people and commissions as needed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in contract management, cost management, change management, and valuation.
  • Sound understanding of procurement, reporting, and collaborative approaches.
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, and ideally hold or be working towards an appropriate professional body membership or equivalent.
