SHEQ Coordinator

Vital Energi Utilities Limited is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented SHEQ Coordinator to join our team in Blackburn. As a key member of our SHEQ department, you will play a vital role in supporting the rollout of our new HSE system across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to grow into a more specialist position, with opportunities to train, upskill, and gain new qualifications.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the collection and analysis of statistical information and production of monthly SHEQ reports, focusing on environmental performance.
- Update and manage the Integrated Management System (IMS) in accordance with relevant statutes, standards, and business requirements.
- Maintain and communicate business-wide SHEQ registers, including corrective actions from inspections and audits.
- Develop, implement, and oversee environmental programs, reporting progress to the SHEQ Director and management tiers.
- Collaborate with the SHEQ team to achieve excellent safety, health, environmental, and quality standards across the business.
- Generate initial drafts of monthly SHEQ reports for distribution by the SHEQ Director to the management board and operational teams.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of internal SHEQ audit programs.
- Support the organization of external audit functions with accredited auditors.
- Provide guidance and job training to VE coworkers, assisting with the development of SHEQ communications, products, and training content as required.
- GCSE/O Level in Maths and English
- Previous experience in a business administration or coordination role or similar
- Previous experience supporting a trades, engineering, or similar business
- Desirable: any qualifications or knowledge relating to HSE compliance
- Competitive salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
