About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate midwives to join our team at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a midwife at our trust, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality, family-centred care to women and babies in a variety of settings, including hospital, birth centre, and community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic midwifery care to women and babies in the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
  • Manage individual caseloads, clients, and/or ward areas.
  • Deputise for the Band 7 in all clinical areas.
  • Integrate and fulfill all identified dimensions of the role.
Person Specification

We are looking for midwives who possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Registered Midwife.
  • Practising Midwife.
  • Maintained an up-to-date professional portfolio.
  • Training in management of obstetric emergencies.
  • Valid Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We would also like to consider midwives who have:

  • To have obtained or be studying to degree level (or diploma with equivalent experience).
  • Teaching/Mentoring qualification.
  • Evidence of further study and development of professional and academic skills.
  • Experience of mentoring students.
