About the Role

The Group finance function of a £100M+ turnover construction business is seeking a Management Accountant for their team in Bolton. As a key member of the finance team, you will support the Group FC and Group FD with preparation of the management accounts, handling VAT returns, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, stock adjustments, and assist in the analysis and forecasting.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the Group FC and Group FD with the preparation of management accounts
  • Handle VAT returns, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, and stock adjustments
  • Assist in the analysis and forecasting of financial performance
  • Be involved in projects that look at continuous improvements within the finance function
  • Report on the performance of these projects

Your Background

You will ideally be Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), or within a year of qualifying, either coming from industry (construction desirable although not essential), with initial experience as a Management Accountant, and ready to support the Group Finance leadership team, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer

A salary of £40K - £50K, 25 days' holiday + bank holidays, an annual bonus, and other benefits including death in service, enhanced pension, onsite parking, and an annual pay increase. You will be based full-time on-site in the Bolton office, with working hours from -
