Job Title: Experienced Waiter/Waitress and Cocktail Bartender

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Waiter/Waitress and Cocktail Bartender to join our team at Two More Beers, a vibrant new pub and restaurant venue in London - Angel. As a key front-of-house staff member, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our valued guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
  • Anticipate and fulfill guests' needs, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and tactfully, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction.
  • Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest experience and maximize revenue.
  • Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
Responsibilities for Cocktail Bartender:
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
  • Present menu, answer questions, and take food and beverage orders from guests and/or serving staff.
  • Prepare drink orders, including wine, spirits, and beer.
  • Monitor seating in the restaurant/bar area, ensuring all guests are served.
  • Compute bills and accept payment; track and balance sales receipts.
  • Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as discontinuing alcohol service and notifying management of potential problem(s).
  • Clean bar work areas and tables, as well as glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
  • Maintain bar and lounge areas by keeping the area tidy and clean and stocking bars at the end of each shift.
  • Plan, organize, and control the operations of the lounge/bar area.
  • Prepare garnishes for drinks.
  • Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
  • Create drink recipes.
  • Receive dates and examine foodstuffs and supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet established standards and specifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress and Cocktail Bartender in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including wine, beer, and cocktail selections.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering impeccable service.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Work under pressure.
