Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Sheffield. As a key member of our Building Services engineering practice, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design solutions for a wide range of projects, from small sites to multimillion-pound schemes.

About the Role

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be working on a variety of projects across different sectors, including healthcare, residential, education, and commercial. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Leading and managing complex electrical design projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  2. Providing technical expertise and support to colleagues, ensuring the highest standards of electrical design and engineering.
  3. Developing and implementing QA procedures and project design review processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  4. Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  5. Contributing to the development of business plans and strategies to drive growth and innovation in the electrical design sector.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A minimum of 8 years' experience in electrical design engineering, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
  2. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with Chartered Engineering status or a willingness to work towards chartership.
  3. Proven expertise in electrical design software and tools, with excellent communication and project management skills.
  4. A friendly, ambitious, and confident approach, with a flexible and resilient attitude to work.
