About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Assistant to join our team at Aldam House, Goole. As a Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to our customers with mental health needs, empowering them to maximize their potential and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized support to encourage customers to develop their daily living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping
  • Work collaboratively with customers to build their confidence, resilience, and self-esteem
  • Support customers in maintaining a safe environment, adhering to relevant regulations, procedures, and practices
  • Communicate effectively with customers, families, and internal and external agencies
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment

Requirements

  • A caring and approachable nature, with a confident 'can-do' attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships
  • Experience of working as a member of a team, with a positive and accepting approach to customers
  • Level 2 NVQ Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards
