Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer to join our team at Hinkley Point C. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for delivering construction work packs to support the MEH Alliance programme.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Building Lead in the day-to-day construction planning, engineering, and works progression of allocated buildings.
  2. Accountable for delivering discipline-specific construction work pack scope of works to support MEH construction activities.
  3. Engage with constructability of construction of specified buildings using building engineers to facilitate sequencing of installation that maximizes efficiency.
  4. Manage project change within specified buildings, ensuring project change process is adhered to, including construction documentation and scope change aspects of the contract in coordination with the Building Lead.
  5. Prioritize and own documentation to enable construction works as per the level 4 plan.
  6. Directly report to the Building Manager or nominated deputy.
  7. Manage and maintain Procon reporting data for allocated buildings.
  8. Provide and demonstrate positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the construction life cycle of the project.
  9. Ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site license requirements.
Key Deliverables
  1. Deliver Construction Work packs to support the MEH Alliance programme.
  2. Enable the use of the Procon system to support construction works and progress reporting of the MEH Alliance.
  3. Enable the coordination of safe access routing to workfaces to support MEH Alliance construction works.
  4. Enable the topographical and other surveying required to support MEH Alliance construction works.
Requirements
  1. Relevant degree in construction or HVAC engineering.
  2. HNC in relevant construction discipline or HVAC engineering with extensive experience working in this type of role.
  3. CCNSG Safety Passport.
  4. Proven experience or safely delivering large-scale construction or engineering projects, including working at a management level of authority. Experience in the heavy industry or nuclear sectors is beneficial as is experience in working with Joint Ventures.
  5. Experience in the management and coordination of multi-discipline construction installation methodologies.
