Laing O'Rourke is seeking a skilled Document Controller to join our renowned specialist stone contractor, Vetter UK. With over 150 years of experience, Vetter UK has been instrumental in delivering some of the most iconic landmark projects across the United Kingdom, including Heathrow T5 and T2, the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, Bluewater shopping centre in Kent, Manchester Town Hall and Central Library, and Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds.
In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring seamless information flow and project success. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Managing document uploads to projects and internal Vetter workspaces.
- Updating project issue transmittals and operative/staff hour schedules weekly.
- Monitoring O&M progress on eDocs and resolving any outstanding actions.
- Setting up new folders within the internal Vetter Asite workspace.
- Ensuring GAP is updated with relevant information and producing weekly movements as per the planner.
- Performing digital/manual archiving and uploading assurance reports to Impact.
- Generating monthly reports on Impact and updating the I&W dashboard.
- Assisting in the production and approval of project Information Standards, Methods & Procedures.
- Maintaining the project collaboration tool administration area.
- Conducting QA checks on all published information/documentation in accordance with project document control procedures.
- Resolving document issue queries and receiving/checking/distributing documents according to project procedures/distribution matrix.
- Providing project-related help and support to all project users, both internal and external.
- Liaising with collaboration tool vendors on a regular basis to address software issues.
- Producing all reports in accordance with project requirements, both internal and external.
We are seeking candidates who possess:
- A strong understanding of document numbering knowledge to British standards ISO19650.
- Experience with Electronic Document Management Systems.
- Knowledge of syncing mobile devices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general administrative skills.
- The ability to set up and agree upon Field View protocols.
