Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Building Services team at JP Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning and design of electrical projects, preparing project layouts and construction plans, and collaborating with other team members to complete projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and design of electrical projects, including preparing project layouts and construction plans.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects, ensuring that all design elements are completed to a high standard.
  • Evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to project assignments.
  • Formulate and solve problems with guidance and direction.
  • Specify activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
  • Perform basic and moderately complex engineering design calculations.
  • Ensure document control methods are being adhered to and quality control standards are being achieved.
  • Liaise with contractors in connection with the design and co-ordination of installations.

Requirements

  • BEng or equivalent in an appropriate engineering discipline.
  • Basic understanding of Health & Safety Issues and Legislation.
  • Basic understanding of British Standards.
  • Competent in specification design/drawing for several building types.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Ability to use IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
