About the Role:
First Military Recruitment Ltd are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our client's team in Bedford. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading company in the textile industry, offering a chance for career advancement and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out and plan corrective maintenance, failure monitoring, and reporting of any disturbances in machines or processes.
  • Maintain the proper condition of buildings, machines, equipment, and outdoor areas of the laundry.
  • Ensure the order and cleanliness of premises and areas dedicated to maintenance work.
  • Store spare parts and maintenance tools, and maintain their storage in an orderly and clean manner.
  • Authorise hot work permits.
  • Compile, train, and monitor operational inspection instructions of machines.
Requirements:
  • Formal mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent standard of professional qualification.
  • Engineer fitter education/experience (desirable/advantage).
  • Automation fitter education/experience (desirable/advantage).
  • Over 3 years work experience in an equivalent position.
  • Proficient in basic IT programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and Internet).
  • Hot work card or equivalent.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Flexible work ethic, with potential requirements to provide cover at other sites.
  • Attentive and active in monitoring production activities.
  • Systematic, persistent, and methodical.
