Role Details
What will you be doing?
Your primary responsibilities will include editing content to fit designated spaces and verifying facts to ensure accuracy consistently. You will craft effective headlines while adhering to Reach's branding and style guidelines.
You will adeptly manage evolving stories and updates, ensuring that all content is updated promptly and accurately. Additionally, you will ensure that all material complies with legal standards and meets IPSO guidelines and Reach's expectations. This position requires flexibility, including weekend work.
Candidate Profile
Who are we looking for?
We seek an experienced journalist with an NCTJ or equivalent qualification and a solid understanding of media law. You should possess extensive experience in journalism, particularly with national or large regional publications. A deep understanding of print news intricacies and a proven history of sub-editing for print media are essential.
You should have the expertise to determine when content requires editing and the capability to rewrite accurate material swiftly and effectively. Crafting precise, impactful, and engaging headlines is crucial, as is meeting the high standards expected by Reach.
