About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in a Manchester primary school. As a Teaching Assistant with SEND experience, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to children with SEND
  • Develop and implement strategies to support children with communication and interaction difficulties
  • Liaise with parents and carers to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Monitor and track the progress of children with SEND, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive support
Requirements
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher
  • At least 3 years' experience in supporting children's learning within the area of SEND
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and parents
  • Ability to work well within a supportive teamwork structure
  • Sound ICT skills
