About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud and Platform Lead Engineer to join our Technology team at The Cumberland. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping our cloud infrastructure strategy and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cloud infrastructure strategy and roadmap for high-volume, high-performance, and high-availability applications and platforms.
  • Co-lead the development and maintenance of best practices, standards, policy, and frameworks/governance for cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud-based solutions.
  • Develop and maintain pipelines that promote safe and repeatable deployments.
  • Ensure cloud infrastructure is operating within cost parameters and that monitoring and alerting is in-place to highlight exceptions and outside of tolerance usage.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call technical support as part of a sensible rota.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure The Cumberland remains at the forefront of cloud innovation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in cloud infrastructure strategy and delivery, with a strong understanding of cloud computing platforms and technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical skills, with expertise in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud networking, security, and compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
