Rate: £30.78 per hour PAYE rate + holiday and pension accrual

Duration: 12 month+ Contract with prospects for further extension

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Interior Trim Design Engineer to lead our design team in creating innovative and cost-effective interior trim solutions for our clients in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design and development of interior trim components, ensuring they meet customer requirements and are manufactured efficiently
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate ideas and drive design for customer and design for manufacture
  3. Conduct cost breakdown analysis and provide data-driven insights to inform design decisions
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of components
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our design processes

Requirements:

  1. Design and engineering qualification
  2. CAD interrogation skills
  3. Previous experience in automotive design and development, with a focus on interior trim
  4. Previous experience of cost breakdown analysis and working in a technical/commercial cross-functional team
  5. Prior knowledge of interior cabin parts/modules and manufacturing processes
  6. Valid driving license and ability to travel globally
