About the Role:

Ackerman Pierce is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Protection Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our Child Protection team, you will be responsible for managing Child in Need (CIN) cases, implementing and reviewing CIN plans, and working closely with a range of professionals and services associated with missing young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage CIN cases, ensuring timely and effective interventions to support vulnerable children and families.
  • Implement and review CIN plans, working collaboratively with children, families, and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Conduct regular visits and meetings with children and families, assessing their needs and developing strategies to address them.
  • Work closely with other agencies and professionals to ensure effective coordination and communication.
  • Attend court hearings and other meetings as required, providing expert testimony and advocating for the best interests of children.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including children, families, and professionals.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance and best practice.

Requirements:

  • Post-qualifying experience as a Social Worker within the UK Social Care industry.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • 1-2 years post-qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry.
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (Ackerman Pierce can assist with obtaining this).
