About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Compass Group UK & Ireland. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the overall management of our unit, ensuring that we deliver a high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and supervise the unit to meet the standards required by Compass Group UK & Ireland and statutory regulations.
  • Manage the preparation, cooking, and service of food to agreed standards and specifications.
  • Ensure the efficient and economic use of resources, including stock, team members, and company assets.
  • Lead and manage a small team of people, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Good chef skills and knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
  • Experience of working in a similar environment, with a proven track record of managing successful teams.
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate and IT literacy.
  • Excellent financial acumen and ability to manage budgets.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in catering, with a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
