Job Title: Science Educator

Location: South Manchester

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Science Educator to join our team at a successful 11-16 academy in South Manchester. As a Science Educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in biology, chemistry, and physics to students in key stage 3 and potentially year 10 and year 11 classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver innovative and engaging lessons in science to students aged 11-16
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans
  • Provide support and guidance to students to help them achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to the development of the science department and the academy as a whole

Requirements:

  • QTS Status or QTLS
  • Recent experience of teaching key stage 3 science
  • Strong subject knowledge and pedagogical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
