We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Alexander Steele Recruitment. As a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and food safety in our food factory.
Key Responsibilities- Manage front-line food safety and quality incidents, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct regular internal audits of site operations, covering areas such as CCPs, hygiene, documentation, GMP, foreign bodies, glass, PPE, and allergens.
- Work closely with Operations to investigate customer complaints, providing feedback and implementing relevant corrective actions.
- Manage micro and nutritional databases, reporting, investigating, escalating, and resolving issues.
- Carry out routine quality assurance testing and monitoring throughout the manufacturing process.
- Ensure processes and products comply with agreed specifications regarding quality and food safety.
- Proven experience in food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of BRC and Customer Codes of Practice.
- Competent in MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Awareness of allergen controls.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene (desirable but not essential).
- Level 2 HACCP (desirable but not essential).
- Able to work on own initiative and possess excellent communication skills.
