About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Gentoo Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our new build housing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the financial aspects of construction projects, including cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Develop and implement effective construction-related financial resources, including cost management systems and financial reporting.
- Work closely with our construction teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on construction-related financial matters, including forms of contracts, cost plans, and bills of quantities.
- Collaborate with our procurement team to ensure that all construction contracts are properly managed and administered.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and other external partners.
Requirements:
- Degree-qualified or working towards qualification in a relevant field, such as quantity surveying or construction management.
- Proven experience in the development and implementation of effective construction-related financial resources.
- Excellent knowledge of forms of contracts, cost plans, and bills of quantities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to adapt to new systems and technologies.
