About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join our team at Elite Employee. As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating multiple machine tools to produce high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program and operate CNC machines to produce R&D, high-value, and low-volume production component parts.
  • Support the development of machining processes and tooling/fixture design.
  • Mentor and train others, including apprentices, in CNC machining techniques.
  • Work to specifications, procedures, and engineering drawings.
  • Develop and improve work procedures/processes with the engineering team.
  • Problem-solve machine issues and facilitate corrective action plans.
  • Prioritize workload to meet deliverable commitments and support production schedules.
Requirements
  • Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings producing conforming product.
  • Competent CNC Milling experience, with turning experience desirable.
  • Ability to program/post-process using Fanuc and Heidenhain languages.
  • Understanding and execution of CAD/CAM software.
  • Conversant with multi-axis machining methods (3 to 6 axis).
  • Good knowledge of inspection techniques and measuring equipment.
  • General engineering workshop practices and proven manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to work from written and verbal process instructions.
  • Ability to work independently from concept through to manufacture.
  • Adherence to Housekeeping and 6S standards within defined work areas.
  • Adherence to mechanical and manual lifting processes.
  • High level of CoSHH and H&S awareness.
  • Competent computer skills, including MS Office and MRP systems.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
