Job Overview
The primary objective of this position is to oversee the training initiatives for Corporate Communications, collaborating with Learning Training and Development, local law enforcement, and specialized national divisions/departments. This ensures the provision of exceptional communications training for Police Scotland and its partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-quality training modules and practical sessions that align with the strategic goals of Police Scotland, ensuring adherence to legal standards and fostering public trust.
- Work in close collaboration with fellow managers in Corporate Communications to guarantee a comprehensive understanding of all operational areas is integrated into the training offerings.
- Serve as a knowledgeable advisor for senior personnel/staff on public communications regarding investigations, local and national matters, and policy updates, empowering them to effectively engage with media and stakeholders in accordance with our values and legal frameworks, while sustaining public confidence.
