Procurement & Supply Chain Manager - FMCG Industry

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to join our team at Investigo. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for leading the purchasing process from identifying new suppliers to managing order placement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and source products that meet customer specifications, delivering the best combination of price, lead-time, and quality.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Utilize your negotiation skills to secure the best prices, payment terms, and deals from suppliers.
  • Quality Control and Logistics: Assist with quality control and logistics, including importing, customs, and liaising with the in-house logistics team to ensure timely delivery.
  • Customer Management: Manage customer tenders, providing relevant pricing and data to the Sales & Marketing team.
  • Order Processing and Administration: Raise formal purchase orders and process associated admin through our order processing system.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure a full written documentation trail is available, in accordance with company requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Demand Planning Manager and Operations Manager to ensure delivery and stock targets are met.
  • Supplier Management: Research, discuss, and introduce new suppliers on a regular basis.
  • Customer Understanding: Gain a thorough understanding of customers, their brands, and their requirements.

Requirements:

  • Leadership and Negotiation Skills: Tenacious with a strong determination to succeed, and strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of international shipping, duties, and delivery processes would be beneficial.
  • Technical Skills: Strong IT skills and confidence with spreadsheets.
  • Experience: A number of years' experience in product buying.

Work Arrangements:

The role is based in the office 4 days per week, with Fridays working from home.
