About the Role

Job Overview

As a dedicated Store Team Member, you will be the face of Home Bargains, delivering exceptional customer service with enthusiasm. Your role will involve assisting customers with product queries, handling cash transactions, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere throughout the store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Assist with stock replenishment, ensuring products are available and presentable on the shelves.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales targets and maintain a clean and tidy store environment.
  • Operate the tills, handling cash transactions and providing change as required.


Benefits

As a Store Team Member, you will receive a competitive rate of pay, ranging from £9.00 per hour for those under 18, £11.18 for those 18-20, and £11.88 for those 21 and over. You will also receive 5.6 weeks' paid holiday per year, including bank and public holiday allowance, rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years' service. Additionally, you will have access to a contributable company pension scheme, staff uniform, and 10% store discount.

Minimum Criteria to Apply

To be considered for this role, applicants must demonstrate a good understanding of customer service, experience of cash handling and working in a retail environment, and experience of manual handling and stock replenishment. They must also be hardworking and reliable, and polite and professional in their interactions with customers and colleagues.
