Maintenance Engineer Job Description

Gap Technical Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team at their facility in Gwersyllt. As a key member of the site services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance duties to maintain the highest standards of site operations.
  • Compile and maintain accurate maintenance records, ensuring compliance with CMMS system requirements.
  • Record and report all engineering downtime daily, providing valuable insights for site improvement.
  • Undertake mechanical maintenance duties, repairs, and installations to assets, including mechanical plant and associated equipment and infrastructure.
  • Develop and evaluate method statements and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Proactively maintain and repair mechanical equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Site Services Manager to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Previous experience as a Site Services Engineer with a proven track record of delivering high-quality maintenance services.
  • Strong knowledge of maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and systems, including actuators, sensors, hot water cylinders, pumps, chillers, ventilation, heating and cooling systems, and compressed air systems.
  • Ability to carry out manual work, working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
