Overview:

1st Step Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Supervisor to oversee a residential construction project in East London. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in residential projects, particularly with a Tier 1 M&E Contractor.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective leadership and motivation to the project team.
  • Ensure the electrical installation adheres to the established timeline.
  • Implement rigorous quality control measures throughout the project.
  • Facilitate regular site meetings with all stakeholders.
  • Report on project progress to the project manager.
  • Develop and manage a two-week work schedule.
  • Oversee subcontractors to ensure adherence to project timelines.
  • Assist in the commissioning and handover processes.
  • Review project scope and prepare Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) as necessary.
  • Submit technical documentation for all equipment and packages under the guidance of the project manager.
  • Maintain all essential site documentation, permits, and equipment registers.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections on-site.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Evaluate working methods and materials to enhance profitability.
  • Implement and uphold the company's policies regarding Sustainability, Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards, serving as a role model for the company's culture and values.
  • Perform any additional duties pertinent to the role.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Relevant electrical trade certifications.
  • Current and valid CSCS skill card.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
  • Proven experience in a similar position with a Tier 1 M&E Contractor.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
