Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chemical Process Operator to take on a First Line Manager role at our manufacturing site in Wyke. As a First Line Manager, you will be responsible for managing shift operations, utilizing resources allocated by the Production Shift Manager to deliver the short-term production plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Leadership: Maintain a high level of personal SHE awareness, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Operational Mastery: Ensure that products meet quality standards and resource utilization is optimized.
  • People Empowerment: Lead and develop a team of Operators, fostering continuous improvement in productivity and safety.
  • Standard Operating Excellence: Execute all operations according to established procedures.
  • Emergency Response: Collaborate with the Emergency Response Team, following protocols to maintain control and safety.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and investigations.

Requirements

  • Experience working within a COMAH chemical manufacturing site with awareness of complex operations and health and safety regulations.
  • Team management experience and ideally a degree in chemistry or engineering or equivalent work experience.

Working Arrangements

You will work a 12.33-hour continuous shift pattern. Working 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off. This pattern repeats seven times, after which there is a further 14-day extended rostered break. All holidays are rostered into the shift pattern.
