Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join our thriving office in King's Lynn, Norfolk. As a Private Client Lawyer, you will handle a busy caseload of private client matters, including wills, administration of estates, lasting powers of attorney, and court of protection matters.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute wills, ensuring that clients' wishes are respected and their estates are distributed according to their wishes.
  • Administer estates, including gathering assets, paying debts, and distributing property to beneficiaries.
  • Assist clients in creating lasting powers of attorney, ensuring that their wishes are respected and their affairs are managed in their absence.
  • Represent clients in court of protection matters, advocating for their rights and interests.
  • Manage elderly clients' financial affairs, including budgeting, investing, and making financial decisions on their behalf.
  • Provide guidance on inheritance tax issues, ensuring that clients are aware of their obligations and take steps to minimize their tax liability.
  • Draft trust documents, ensuring that clients' assets are protected and their wishes are respected.
  • Probate and estate administration, including gathering assets, paying debts, and distributing property to beneficiaries.

Requirements

  • Solicitors and legal executives with a minimum of two up to four years' PQE.
  • Solid experience in private client matters gained within a reputable firm.
  • Excellent client care skills, including empathy and the ability to explain complex matters in clear, accessible language.
