Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Carry out planned installations and maintenance on pumps, motors, and other rotating equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant electrical regulations and standards.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of current electrical regulations, including BS7671, and apply this knowledge to deliver safe and efficient electrical installations.
  • Deliver electrical isolations and process instructions in accordance with the WGM Engineering Ltd electrical safety rules and procedures.
  • Complete required NICEIC Certification and maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical standards and regulations.
  • Swiftly and comprehensively fault find and rectify problems on a variety of electrical issues, utilizing technical skills and expertise to resolve complex issues.
  • Deliver electrical compliance to the standard identified within the electrical specifications for waste water, ensuring that all work meets the required standards and regulations.
  • Respond to reactive callouts, working alongside mechanical engineers to investigate, rectify, and solve electrical issues, and provide technical support and guidance as required.
  • Deliver work schedules and look-ahead information across each work front, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Interpret RAMS and prepare daily briefings, providing technical information and updates to stakeholders as required.
  • Lead and deliver jobs, ensuring that sites are left safe and secure, and that all work is completed to the required standards.
  • Attend sites as required to fully scope the safety and engineering aspects of each required task, converting information into usable formats for estimating purposes.
  • Create technical reports and Quality Plans, documenting all work and ensuring that all relevant information is recorded and stored securely.
  • Carry out any other tasks as requested within the skill set, utilizing technical expertise and knowledge to deliver high-quality results.

To be considered for this position, you will have at least 2-3 years of previous experience in electrical work, ideally within an engineering background. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and on your own initiative. Relevant electrical qualifications or HND are required for the role, as well as being qualified to 18th edition wiring regulations.
