Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Anaesthetic Nurse/ODP to join our team at Cromwell Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assisting with surgical procedures, and contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to consultants during all surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients for clinical/operative procedures, ensuring accurate labeling and dispatch of specimens to the laboratory.
- Prepare patients for clinical/operative procedures and provide immediate post-operative care, prioritizing patient comfort and well-being.
- Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner, ensuring the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
- Participate fully as a team member, sharing knowledge and information, and supporting colleagues to promote a cohesive team and achieve team objectives.
- Help control cross-infection by observing departmental policy regarding dress, maintaining a clean working environment, decontamination, and sterilization procedures, and asepsis.
Requirements
- Hold a relevant OPD/Anaesthetic Nurse qualification (HCPC/ADULT RGN).
- Post-registration experience within Anaesthetics.
- Ability to deliver high standards of care, prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction.
