Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of projects within established budgets and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project delivery, acting as the discipline lead within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Maintain strong client relationships to ensure project objectives are met.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of all technical outputs, including calculations, drawings, and reports.
- Provide mentorship and technical support to junior engineers and designers.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from various engineering disciplines.
Technical Expertise: The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of design principles related to common construction materials such as steel, concrete, timber, and masonry. Experience in geotechnical engineering and foundation design is essential.
Qualifications: Candidates should have a proven track record in preparing and reviewing detailed design calculations and documentation. Familiarity with Eurocodes and leading industry design software is required, along with proficiency in Tekla and Revit. Experience in a 3D design environment and adherence to BIM protocols is also necessary.
Experience: This role is suited for a Chartered (or nearly Chartered) Structural Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the UK.
