The Role:

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary team. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, your primary responsibility will be to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in accordance with health and food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness in designated areas, including sweeping and mopping floors, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized as directed by the Line Manager.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning of refrigerators, shelving, food prep areas, and storage units.
  • Prepare dishwashing equipment for daily use and report any malfunctions or necessary supplies to the manager.
  • Ensure all dirty dishes and utensils are promptly cleared from service areas, washed appropriately, and stored correctly.
  • Keep kitchen machinery and equipment clean, adhering to established cleaning schedules, and manage waste disposal in compliance with regulations.
  • Follow all legislative requirements regarding food hygiene and workplace safety.
