About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Associate Director of Insight to lead innovative strategy and insights projects at Canvas8, a strategic insights practice operating globally. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing exceptional proposals, managing teams, and solving strategic problems to deliver high-quality commercial insights projects.

With a proven track record of designing and delivering mixed-method research projects, you will be responsible for researching consumer behaviour, trends, and shifts, and presenting concise analysis, insights, trends, and ideas in inspiring formats. You will also be responsible for managing clients impeccably, owning timelines, deliverables, and budgets, and working across cultures with potential travel.

About You

You are a seasoned insights professional with a proven track record of designing and delivering mixed-method research projects. You have exceptional mixed-method research and analysis skills, previous managerial and leadership experience, and a commercial and strategic mindset. You are a lateral thinker with an eye for spotting patterns and cultural shifts across multiple industries, and you are comfortable owning complex projects from start to finish.

You are a natural organiser, comfortable with complexity, and you have impeccable client management skills. You are curious, collaborative, and tenacious, and you are passionate about understanding the world around you and delivering insight that gets people off their seats and drives real change.

Requirements
  • 7-9 years of experience in an insights role
  • Exceptional mixed-method research and analysis skills
  • Previous managerial and leadership experience
  • Proven commercial consulting experience at the project owner / sign-off level
  • A lateral thinker with an eye for spotting patterns and cultural shifts across multiple industries
  • A commercial and strategic mindset, with an eye for opportunity
  • Strong commercial awareness and culturally attuned
  • Impeccable client management
  • Natural organiser, comfortable with complexity
