The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Domestic Services Assistant to join our team at NHS Lanarkshire. As a key member of our domestic services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hospital premises.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide a high-quality domestic service to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. You will work closely with our domestic services team to ensure that all areas of the hospital are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a high-quality domestic service to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Work closely with the domestic services team to ensure that all areas of the hospital are maintained to a high standard.
  • Participate in risk-assessing individual tasks and undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training.
  • Undertake and complete the NHSS Domestic Services Workbook.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively and efficiently in a busy environment.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures.
  • Required to undertake on-the-job training and induction to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety.
  • Undertake mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards.
Contract Type

Please note this is a part-time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in PSSD Hotel Services within Cleland Hospital.

The working pattern for this role: 2.30pm - 18.22 hours Saturday Sunday
