About the Role

As a Prisoner Custody Officer with Serco, you will play a vital role in providing safe and secure escorting and custody services to detainees. Your primary focus will be on the physical and mental wellbeing of those in your care, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany defendants in court rooms and cells, ensuring their safety and security
  • Search property or people as required, maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect
  • Ensure food and drink are available to detainees, promoting their physical and mental wellbeing
  • Complete paperwork and data entry for the day, maintaining accurate records and reports
