Full-time Science Teacher Opportunity

Southend

Thursday and Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm

Long-term Position

Remedy Education is seeking a fully qualified teacher to join our team on a long-term basis, teaching science to students on Thursdays and Fridays.

This position involves creating engaging lesson plans that meet the National Curriculum requirements, adapting teaching approaches to cater to different abilities, and providing opportunities for students to learn through various methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering lesson plans that incorporate demonstrations, instruction, hands-on activities, group work, and individual projects.
  • Teaching science lessons at an appropriate level to cater to all students, enhancing their understanding of physics, chemistry, and biology.
  • Communicating effectively with students to ensure they understand the objectives of each lesson and project.
  • Assisting students in safely conducting practical experiments to enhance their comprehension of scientific concepts.
  • Encouraging and supporting students in their own research for science projects.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in the science department to coordinate teaching efforts.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified teacher with a strong background in science education.
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to cater to different student abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
