Civils Estimator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civils Estimator to join our client's team in the Gateshead area. As a Civils Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of their Civil Engineering business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze tender documents and contract terms to ensure accurate pricing and costing.
  • Take off and price from drawings, using your expertise to develop whole life cycle costs.
  • Develop subcontract terms and conditions, as well as value propositions for clients.
  • Attend site visits during the tender stage to ensure accurate pricing and costing.
  • Plan and coordinate estimating activities to meet deadlines.
  • Produce product/service specifications and read technical drawings to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Develop business cases for offsite construction and maintain commercial awareness.
  • Communicate effectively with the estimating manager and team members to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Civils Estimating, with a proven track record in the industry.
  • A valid CSCS card and a degree in a relevant field.
  • Self-motivation, ambition, and a career-driven mindset to develop and progress within the company.
